Isabella welcomes her youngest guest yet to Inspired By H.Q. - 11 year old Harrison ‘Rizz’ Thomas - a passionate actor, singer, filmmaker and musician,
for an entertaining and insightful conversation on his love of performing and what inspires him and later... some fun in the kitchen. His recent short film, The Wanderer, which he wrote, directed, shot, edited, scored and
starred in, was officially selected for the Setting Sun Film Festival
(Melbourne), Sparrowland Short Film Festival (Brisbane) and Under Exposed Film Festival (Adelaide) so far in 2022, and won two of five major prizes
(Best Film-Prep and Best Cinematography) in Princes Film Fest 2021 (Adelaide). His original song ‘The Last Boy in The World’ features in the soundtrack. Earlier films won Best Sound and Best Editing in the 2019 and
2020 Princes Film Fests (‘Isolated’ and ‘I Can’t’, respectively). In June,
Harrison stars as Gavroche in the Elder Conservatorium of Music (Adelaide University) production of Les Miserables, after joining Mark Oates and Dave
MacGillivray in Northern Light’s production of Les Miserables in April. Recent stage appearances include Young Simba in Lion King Jr (Adelaide Youth Theatre 2022), Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (AYT 2021),
Broadway Sessions (2021) and All Together Now (2021).
Inspired By Becc Bates. Isabella interviews Becc Bates ( Director of Creative Industries for the Department of Innovation and Skills - South Australia. ) Becc's interest in the arts and entertainment started when she was a kid, "having fun with it" organising shows and inviting all the kids in the street to see the show....to later in life when
she became "continuously drawn to it," realising it was her passion. Becc shares her inspirational journey from childhood, growing up with a blend of entrepreneurialism and art, to the present day as the Director of Creative Industries for the Department of Innovation and Skills - South Australia. "I
feel blessed to have the job that I have. Being able to influence or
